Birth Doula
As a birth doula, Shauna’s goal is to support and empower a positive labor and birthing experience. A doula will guide you throughout pregnancy into birth as her role includes support like prenatal planning, comfort & relaxation measures, and advocacy in the birthing space.
We will work together to create your birth plan and help prepare for your ideal birth, whatever that looks like to you. Shauna is equally supportive of the many ways that women give birth and has experience as a doula in unmedicated/no intervention births, water births, low intervention births, VBAC, inductions, medicated births, medically fragile mother and/or baby, NICU expectancy and cesarean sections.
1 prenatal intake/planning meeting (virtual, 60 mins)
1 prenatal birthing preparation meeting (in person, 90 mins)

On call, 24/7 availability beginning at 37 weeks

Birth Doula - Scheduled Cesarean
Birth doulas have a significant role in cesarean births and can provide much needed reassurance and support during and after surgery. A planned cesarean birth brings additional challenges and healing time and a support team is so important in the immediate recovery period.

An affordable alternative to having a doula attend your birth, this service provides you with the professional support and education to advocate for the birth experience you want.
